Jesse Garcia - President, Stonewall Democrats of Dallas

Jesse Garcia is president of the Stonewall Democrats of Dallas, the largest Democratic club in Dallas County with nearly 300 members. In his seven years with Stonewall, he has helped register more than 2,000 LGBT voters. Aside from politics, Jesse is a Hispanic-rights activist -- cofounding the very first LGBT council within the 76-year-old civil rights organization League of United Latin American Citizens. He also serves as a city commissioner for the city of Dallas and works full-time for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, helping feed low income Americans. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in communications and is a native of Brownsville, Texas."
